MiTo, whose name pays tribute to Alfa Romeo’s home cities of Milan and Torino, is simply gorgeous, even by Alfa’s standards. Alfa Romeo MiTo is simply a treat to behold with a sexy sloping roof and restrained application of chrome, which surrounds the round LED lights. MiTo’s sculpted alloys and even the brake calipers, carefully inscribed with ‘Alfa Romeo’ in a beautiful script are truly functional pieces of art.

As any racing enthusiast knows, weight saving is key to any sports hatchback. The MiTo boats more lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum, in keeping with Alfa Romeo’s strategy to cut weight from all future vehicles.

Expect the styling to take on a much more aggressive look, with blistered wheel arches, more defined lines and, possibly, new contrasting color schemes to make the MiTo look more like a racing car.

MiTo ushers in a new era of internal combustion gasoline engines as it is the first car in the world to be powered by Alfa Romeo’s exclusive MultAir technology which offers better performance, lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. The MultiAir system is a revolutionary progression from both an economic as well as environmental perspective as it allows for an increase in power output while it decreases fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions as much as 10% thanks in part to a high performance cam.

Alfa’s plan is to equip the top-notch version of its premium mini with a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine delivering approximately 230 Hp. The Alfa Romeo MiTo also utilizes electronic Q2 technology, which mimics a mechanical limited-slip differential and is already setting a new performance benchmark.

MiTo’s interior has an aggressive, almost forceful personality defined by a distinctive dashboard and trim. MiTo’s driver-centric cockpit and instrument panel feature well placed gauges and advanced graphics.

In the interest of total driver comfort, MiTo features unmistakable Italian designer leather and fabrics. MiTo’s wraparound leather seats and low sporty suspension configuration beg the driver to settle in, grip the steering wheel and firmly press down on the accelerator.

Ever mindful of safety, Alfa Romeo MiTo is equipped with seven airbags, double pre-tensioners on the front seatbelts, anti-whiplash front seats and a collapsible steering wheel-all standard on every MiTo.
